Architects were commisioned to design an office unit to accommodate P.
McCauls growing business. This also included, site piling for three other
units, the road infrastructure, landscaping and site perimeter treatment.
The building units were designed to be placed around the site perimeter to allow the central core of the site for parking and service access road. The completed building is constructed using a simple steel frame pyramid roof structure on steel grid taken down to driven piles, with precast concrete floor slabs at ground and first floor level. Internally four steel colmns frame the service core at the ground floor level. Corridors surrounding the service core lead to open plan offices, conferences rooms and smaller directors' offices.
Completed in 2003 at a cost of £280,000 for Phase 1, with Phase 2 recently completed in 2006.
