Community House, Omagh

The Market Street redevelopment was designed to be the main focal point of the town of Omagh. The design links the past to the present. That of the future represented in the breaking down of the solid mass of traditional forms leading through to the modern glazed curtain wall and stone clad tower fronting the Strule river.

The Community House accommodates voluntary organisations who gain access from the community foyer- a space of significance - a 'People's Space' - where inside and outside fuse into one.

The project was completed in November 2002 at a cost of £2.4 million after a 12 month contract.
